In the Philippines, avocados are used in desserts - like ice cream and shakes. It was culturally
shocking for me to see avocados in salads or in shrimp cocktail. But then again, my American friends
are also absolutely horrified to see me waste a nice ripened avocado in a blender. They wouldn't even
taste the finished product. They don't know what they are missing.
It is very easy to make avocado shake. Just scoop the fleshy part of the fruit out of its shell, then
mash is smoothly with milk and sugar. Then add ice. Or you can blend the mixture in a blender with ice.
Or you can use sweetened condensed milk. Or cream.
