This is my concoction, a variation of a carinderia favorite, giniling.
This is one dish that is very easy to make, very delicious, very versatile, very quick --- and cheap.
Ingredients (above):
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion (yellow or red), sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
oil
1 medium sized green bell pepper, cored and sliced
1 medium sized red bell pepper, cored and sliced (optional)
1 jalapeno, cored and sliced (optional, add more if you want it hot)
green onions, sliced
cilantro (kinchay), chopped, about 2 tablespoons (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and sliced onion, saute until transparent. Add the green, red and jalapeno peppers, stir for about 1 minute.
Add meat, stir, cook until brown (or until desired degree of color ... this dish is also good if you
have the meat cooked well done). Add cilantro and green onions. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another minute or two.
