Melon Sa Malamig

Ingredients

1 melon (cantaloupe)
water
sugar
ice

Shred cantaloupe meat with a shredder - there is a special 'scraper' that is available in the Philippines designed specifically for this use - but you can use a lemon zester or the large hole of a hand grater to shred cantaloupe.

On a tall glass or a pitcher, combine melon shreds, water, ice and lots of sugar. The quantity of water depends on how much melon flavor you want. This is a very refreshing drink served cold during those hot summer days.
