Atis
Atis is also known as sweetsop or I think sugar apple or custard apple in English. It is very hard to find this here in the US although I finally found it at a Vietnamese store - the fruit was shipped frozen from Vietnam!
There is another fruit called chirimoya, the South American equivalent of the atis which is readily available taste the same.
Atis is native to tropical America, introduced to the Philippines during the early Spanish period. It is now widely grown and is propagated by seeds.
